The farmhouse stands where it was first built in 1891 by Peter Wunderlich II, son of Peter Wunderlich who came to Texas from Germany in 1852. The Wunderlich House was occupied by the Wunderlich family until 1995, yet the house retains much of its earlier style. Its wooden walls have never been sheetrocked, wallpapered or painted. With its chicken house, smokehouse, barn, and other outbuildings remaining, the Farm exhibits life in Klein as it was in 1890-1920.

I write my name by the old pen
When members of the Wunderlich family visited Germany in 1985, Albrecht shared with his Texas relatives eleven German letters or documents from 1853-1882 about the earliest Texas Wunderlichs.
I signed my name in visitation book
This is the first time I visit a farm. Although they do not have any animal here, I was very excited. They virtually recreate the life of ancient farmers.
